Huddig and Staffare, with partners, get the assignment to replace power trains on the Swedish Armed Forces' tracked vehicles 206 and 208
The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) has signed a contract with Nordic Terrain Solutions AB (NTS). The agreement covers the renovation and modification of tracked vehicles 206 and 208. The deliveries will ensure The Swedish Armed Forces' ability and mobility for many years.
Svekon, Granit Teknikbyrå, Huddig, Staffare, and Swedish Power Improvement jointly own Nordic Terrain Solutions. The project teams consist of experts from each company who work together to ensure a delivery that meets the customer's requirements. The group of companies has all the skills and abilities required to undertake this task.
The Swedish Armed Forces' 206 and 208 tracked vehicles were acquired in the late 1970s and now need renovation to extend their service life and improve their performance.
Through a new contract with FMV, Huddig and Staffare, with partners, have been awarded the project, which includes refurbishing and modifying at least 800 units. In addition to replacing the engine and gearbox, the implementation consists of tools and spare parts, training drivers and technicians, and updating existing documentation.
Huddig will ensure a qualitative overall solution with its experience and expertise in product development, material supply, and efficient production. In addition, Huddig and Staffare will change power trains on the majority of the total of at least 800 tracked vehicles 206 and 208.
"It feels great for us that Huddig's technological height and innovative ability will be used in this joint company," says Lars Lindahl, CEO of Huddig.
Staffare's broad contact network and experience in machine service are essential parts of the implementation.
"We are proud to have received this trust. Together with Huddig and the other companies, it will be possible," says Lars Staffare, CEO of Staffare.
