A HUDDIG-machine’s real identity is revealed on the railroad
Christoffer Sjölund has been running Räls & Markservice in Örnsköldsvik since march 2019. He had long dreamed of running his own business and once he got started, the company grew rapidly.
“You will never be ready to run your own business; you just got to start and take it as it comes. I started by renting a farm tractor and an excavator and had a guy employed by the hour. In August I employed my old colleague full-time and now I own two HUDDIG-machines and a farm tractor. It's a great feeling to move from being employed to having three machines running daily in less than a year.”
He recently received his second HUDDIG 1260C RAIL and appreciates the reliability and the flexibility which he sees as the biggest advantages with the HUDDIG-machines.
“The difference with a HUDDIG compared to other machines is that you can do all kinds of jobs with it and especially on the railroad where it really is unbeatable. A HUDDIG-machine’s real identity is revealed on the railroad - the agility, the strength, and the precision. We have people around us all the time so it's important that you can trust your machines. Another advantage is that you can drive on regular roads and quickly transport yourself between different assignments. This means that I can take on jobs that are geographically dispersed and thus increase income as well.
One of Christopher's HUDDIG-machines is also equipped with LIFT 2000, which increases the possibility of performing even more types of jobs with the same machine.
“I have a LIFT 2000 on one of my HUDDIG machines. With the lift and the basket, I get two machines in one which saves a lot of time and money. We perform everything from ice-scraping in railroad tunnels and snow plowing to the maintenance of contact lines and much more. The lift is invaluable to us when performing these kinds of jobs.”
Versatility all year round and a high resale value are other advantages he sees with his HUDDIG-machines.
“You can use a HUDDIG in all seasons. It is superior in every way and it is a very well-built machine. There is almost no difference between my machines that are six years old compared to new ones. They are durable and age well – simply put they are fantastic machines.”
Christoffer is looking forward to the coming year and all the different assignments that lie ahead.
“I feel that we are ready for all kinds of challenges that lie ahead of us in 2020. It will be great fun just to continue working and developing the company. I feel confident that we can tackle almost everything with our HUDDIG-machines, Christoffer concludes.”
