Robert Lockwood about HUDDIG 1370 CITY a little over a year after delivery

Huddig News Lockwood Big

“Four months after delivery, our new HUDDIG 1370 racked up 500 Hours. It was starting its life with us, removing three miles of railroad tracks and getting the work done ahead of schedule.

The HUDDIG 1370 was ideal for removing the track and ties and carrying the materials to staging Points. The loader and excellent lifting power were assets in loading the track onto trucks. Without a HUDDIG, we would have needed two excavators and a large wheel loader to do the project.

During the holidays last year, the HUDDIG machine worked an emergency job on the Olympic Peninsula, building a levee to protect the historic lighthouse and access road from extreme tidal currants.

Coming from a HUDDIG 1260C, we expected a more comfortable cab with amenities, and Huddig certainly delivered! The climate control is excellent, and the cab comfort has increased substantially.

Aside from creature comforts, the real reason to buy a HUDDIG 1370 is the superior performance. The longer excavator boom has made a massive difference for our crews, especially when working on city projects and loading the debris into dump trucks.

The HUDDIG 1370 easily reaches into the large "Super Dumps" Dump trucks that are common in the northwest. Overall, we are happy with the update and excited to put 10,000 hours on this machine comfortably!

Huddig significantly improved our productivity, profitability, and operator satisfaction. We look forward to buying another HUDDIG 1370 in the "RAIL" configuration next,” Robert concludes.
