Huddig Custom Solutions
Huddig Custom Solutions' business involves renovating and modifying The Swedish Armed Force's tracked vehicles 206 and 208. This includes replacing the engine and gearbox, tools and spare parts, training drivers and technicians, and updating existing documentation.
The background is that Huddig and Staffare, with partners, have received an assignment to renovate and modify tracked vehicles 206 and 208. In December 2023, the jointly owned company NTS (Nordic Terrain Solutions AB) signed a contract with The Swedish Defence Materiel Administration (FMV) to extend the life of 206 and 208 tracked vehicles. Nordic Terrain Solutions is jointly owned by the companies Svekon, Granit Teknikbyrå, Huddig, Staffare, and Swedish Power Improvement. The primary order comprises 800 tracked vehicles, with an option to extend.

Huddig has formed a company to carry out its part of the assignment, Huddig Custom Solutions AB (Huddig CS), which will convert 600 of the total 800 tracked vehicles in the primary order. The company has signed a lease agreement for just over 5000 square meters with Flygstaden AB in Söderhamn, Sweden, where the business will be conducted.
Work is underway to prepare for the planned start of production at the end of 2024.
"We will benefit from Huddig's experience in everything from product development and material supply to building an efficient and quality-assured production." Lars Lindahl, the Business's Project Manager, says.
The location in Söderhamn is advantageous regarding the logistics flow of tracked vehicles and materials for the rebuilds. It is also close to Huddig's and Staffare's operations in both Hudiksvall and Bollnäs, which increases the possibility of using the resources available within existing operations if necessary.
